Meet the Panel!
Raechal started woodworking in 2015 when her friend wanted a boutique dining table without having to pay the high cost for one. She bought a drill set, a miter saw, and her challenge became a passion. A year later the 1st Builders Challenge started in May 2016 by Raechal as an idea for a friendly challenge amongst friends to see how creative they can be with one plan and an unlimited amount of ways to modify the plan.
Adam started with pallet wood projects and basic home repair, before moving onto custom builds and then used that content to launch Lazy Guy DIY. Adam works with some of the top brands in the industry while getting to featured projects. He’s also a guru test and tool reviewer, testing some of the newest tools on the market! He participated in the 1st season of TBC and after the 3rd season he joined Raechal and they expanded into what it is today!

Dave relocated to the Ozarks and started a commercial woodshop supplying tables and cutting boards to restaurants made from locally sourced timber from the Ozark Mountains. Noticing a lack of natural wood finishes in the marketplace, he also began bottling and selling his time-tested wood finish recipes. He called it “Walrus Oil”, the name loosely inspired by the notably large mustache he was known for.
Big Build Off
Amy

Each of Amy’s projects teach her a new technical skill, and gives her a new tool for “her tool belt”. Amy has always loved doing projects and woodworking. When she was young her dad had a small shop in their basement. She loved tinkering around down there. Her favorite part of any woodworking project is to come up with the plans of the project and then to build it and see it come to life.
